Yes they may work on a commission value as part of the overall sale (which could mean that the cheapest price isn't always possible) but their insight, particularly into the history (if a used car) and performance of the vehicle could prove invaluable. Buying can be easy if you do some of the leg work yourself. Look around several car showrooms, several different vehicles and always be open to change.
